Ryan Nelson

Ryan Nelson opened Late Harvest Kitchen in 2011. Late Harvest Kitchen is a locally sourced, farm-to table restaurant and opened to rave reviews. In 2012, Indianapolis Monthly awarded the restaurant its highly coveted “Restaurant of the Year” award. Ryan serves a seasonal menu that often changes based on market availability.
Ryan’s second restaurant, The North End Barbecue and Moonshine opened in 2014. The North End is an American regional BBQ restaurant that boasts over 200 types of whiskey. Indianapolis Monthly named The North End Barbecue one of the city’s best new restaurants in 2015.
Ryan has received advocacy training from the James Beard Foundation to provide hunger relief and reduce food waste in our communities. Ryan currently volunteers at The Hamilton County Harvest Food Bank.
Nelson lives in Fishers, Indiana with his wife, Laurie, who is co-owner of both restaurants. Ryan is an avid fisherman who enjoys playing hockey and cooking with his son and looks forward to the day his toddler aged daughter is old enough to join him in the family kitchen.
