Potato & Salmon Dog Food
Quick and easy homemade dog for with only 8 ingredients! This salmon and Idaho® potato dog food is sure to be a hit with your pup.

Ingredients:
- ½ cup water
- 11 ounces Idaho® Russet potatoes, peeled and diced (about 2 potatoes)
- 1 large carrot, peeled and grated
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
- ½ cup egg whites
- 1 cup chopped spinach, packed
- 8 ounces salmon, raw or canned
- ⅓ cup canned pumpkin
Instructions:
- Heat a heavy-bottomed pan over medium heat.
- Add ½ cup water and diced Idaho® potatoes. Cover pot and let potatoes simmer for 8-10 minutes until they have softened.
- Uncover and add grated carrot and coconut oil. Stir to combine and cook for 2-3 minutes. Move potatoes and carrots to one side of the pot.
- Add egg whites and let cook for 4-5 minutes until set. Use a wooden spoon to break into small pieces, then stir to combine with potatoes and carrots.
- Add spinach and salmon and stir to combine. Cover the pot and cook for an additional 7-8 minutes until salmon is cooked.
- Stir in canned pumpkin and remove from heat. Set aside to cool slightly before feeding to your pup.
Notes:
Leftover food can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
