Question
Would enhancing the description or playing upon the style of cooking or quality of ingredients help my baked potato sales? I do use Idaho Russet Burbank’s but on the menu it just lists as Baked Taters.
Seems obvious, but a lot of menu writing does not make the menu item sound appealing. Dunkin Donuts just found this out recently with increased sales with just a little more descriptors... big and toasted breakfast sandwich, fried egg, coarsely crack black pepper and sea salt, fried in butter. Doesn't an olive oil, rolled in dried spices and garlic oven roasted crispy potato skin Idaho® baked potato sound better than your "Baked Taters"?
