Question

Can I Home Cook And Freeze Hashbrowns For Later?

I want to bake a bunch of russet potatoes, let them cool and then cut into chunks and freeze for hash browns. Would this work?

Answer

That should work. Sometimes people place the cooled potatoes in clear plastic bags, and try to remove as much excess air as possible before sealing rather than wrapping in aluminum foil which can eventually discolor the potatoes or give an off metallic flavor.
