Question

Can I Use an Airfryer for French Fries in My Restaurant?

I just opened a restaurant where we make fresh-cut French fries and I'm wondering if it's a good idea to cook them in an airfryer so they are healthier. What are your thoughts on this?

Answer

Many schools have pulled out their fryers for the same reason: They know students love French fries but are concerned about the added fat from the oil. So yes, air fryers (or simply baked) is a great alternative. The texture and flavor are exceptional, and with just a hint of seasoning and available condiments, this pleases just about everyone. Many commercial air fryers are available, but I would recommend testing your product using both air fryers and traditional/convection ovens (rent options are usually available) as well before deciding your commercial direction, as these are costly decisions.
